Does a Zoho price change hit existing subscribers?

Zoho’s notice deferred the April 2021 increase on existing subscriptions until renewal on or before 17 January 2022 (page retrieved 8 October 2026).

What the April 2021 notice said

If the new price would have raised a prior invoice by more than 15%, the renewal invoice rose by a flat 15%. Renewing on or before 16 January 2022 locked the old price for a term of one year or less. The US is not among the regions the notice exempts.

What it does not say

The notice names no product and lists no Books prices. It says no further changes were planned “at this time”, undated. It covers no later change, so this article states no protection for one.

Zoho’s refund and auto-renewal terms

Zoho’s refund policy, retrieved 8 October 2026, says subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled. Cancelling up to five business days (monthly) or fifteen days (annual) after a renewal date qualifies for a full refund; steps are in how to cancel Zoho Books and what happens to your data.

How to check your own Zoho Books price

Start with the email Zoho sends before each renewal, because it states the amount about to be charged.

Start with your renewal email and receipt

Zoho emails the amount before each auto-renewal, then a receipt showing the amount deducted, the next renewal date and the next renewal amount (refund policy, retrieved 8 October 2026).

Match your plan and billing mode to the table

Compare the amount with the first table, row for row: plan first, then monthly or annual billing. Zoho quotes annual prices per month, so multiply by twelve to compare a yearly charge.

Why a charge can differ from the table

Zoho’s pricing page, retrieved 8 October 2026, lists add-ons that raise a bill, including extra users and document autoscans. This article covers the US edition only. If a charge still does not match, send Zoho your renewal email and receipt.
