Zoho Books Integrations by Plan, With Exact Limits and Gaps

Table of Contents
As of 12 October 2026, Zoho’s US comparison page lists Stripe, PayPal, Slack and Zoho CRM on every Zoho Books plan, and Zoho’s API documentation sets Free at 1,000 API requests a day. Bank feeds start on Standard, Zoho Projects on Professional, webhooks and custom functions on Premium, and Shopify and Amazon on Elite (comparison page, 12 October 2026).
How Zoho Books connects to other software
Zoho’s integrations page, read 12 October 2026, groups connectors into payment gateways, Zoho apps, payroll, POS and tax tools, plus extensions labelled “From Marketplace.”
Built-in connectors and bank feeds
Connectors cover Zoho’s own apps, gateways and tools such as Slack. Bank feeds run through Plaid or Yodlee; Zoho says availability depends on your bank’s connectivity (12 October 2026).
Zapier, API, webhooks and Claude
The rest is automation: Zapier, the API, webhooks and a Claude connector. Plan prices are in Zoho Books Pricing and the Extra Costs Past the Free Plan; the plan rows follow.
Which Zoho Books plan includes each integration?

Webhooks start on Premium, per Zoho’s comparison page, read 12 October 2026. Each item stays on every higher plan.
| Item | First plan (12 Oct 2026) | Who hits this |
|---|---|---|
| Stripe, PayPal, Slack, Zoho CRM | Free | No one |
| Bank feeds, Authorize.Net, Square, Avalara, Zendesk | Standard | Free-plan users |
| Zoho Projects, Zoho People | Professional | Standard users |
| Webhooks, custom functions, Zoho Sign, Twilio | Premium | Professional users |
| Shopify (up to 2 stores), Etsy, eBay, Amazon | Elite | Premium sellers |
On every plan
“Listed” is not “free of extra cost”: WhatsApp is listed on all six plans with the tooltip “Credits to be purchased separately.” Zoho does not say whether each listed Zoho app needs its own subscription.
From Standard upward
Plaid is currently available for the US and Canada editions, per Zoho’s bank feeds page (12 October 2026). A new organization starts on Premium, per our Zoho Books free trial article (9 October 2026).
How many API calls does each Zoho Books plan allow?

Zoho sets 1,000 API requests a day on Free, 2,000 on Standard, 5,000 on Professional and 10,000 on Premium, Elite and Ultimate (API documentation, 12 October 2026).
Daily limits by plan
Zoho’s comparison page shows the same figures (12 October 2026). Its API Usage page says the dashboard leaves out calls from the web application and refreshes every 3 hours.
Per-minute, concurrent and webhook limits
Per Zoho’s documentation (12 October 2026), these limits are separate:
- Per minute: 100 requests per organization; exceeding it returns HTTP 429.
- Concurrent calls: 5 on Free, 10 on paid plans, a soft limit; exceeding it also returns 429.
- Webhooks: one per workflow rule, with 5-second connection and 10-second read timeouts (webhooks page).
- Daily webhook cap: Zoho says it “varies by your Zoho Books plan” and publishes no number.
Where Zoho’s own pages disagree on integrations
Zoho gives two answers on whether Free includes API access, and does not reconcile them.
Free plan API access: two answers
Zoho’s API documentation and comparison page give Free a daily API limit (12 October 2026). Its pricing page lists “API Access” among what Standard adds. To read your own figure, click Settings, then API Usage under Developer Space.
The other Free caps are in our Zoho Books free plan limits article.
Zapier: app counts and direction
Zoho’s integrations page says “more than 500 apps”; its Zapier help page says “over 8,000” (both 12 October 2026). The comparison tooltip puts Zapier actions from Zoho Books on Premium and above, while the help page lists all six plans and says a Zoho Books action creates a workflow rule, which the comparison page shows as No on Free and Standard.
Seats, roles and AI access for integrations
Who can use these connections depends on seats and roles as well as plan.
Users and custom roles by plan
Zoho’s pricing page, read 12 October 2026, includes 3 users on Standard, 5 on Professional, 10 on Premium and Elite, and 15 on Ultimate; Free has 1 user plus 1 accountant. Custom user roles are listed from Professional.
Connecting Claude through MCP
Zoho’s MCP help page, read 12 October 2026, says Zoho Books is a default connector in Claude, supporting only the actions listed under Tools. Zoho advises admin approval before any action runs. It does not say which plans include MCP.
What happens to integrations when you downgrade
Zoho’s pages say what happens to your data on cancelling, not to your automations.
Cancelling leaves data read-only
๐ Back This Up First: Before you downgrade or cancel, export your data and write down the workflow rules, webhook URLs and connected apps you rely on.
Zoho’s downgrade page, read 12 October 2026, says cancelling leaves your data in read-only mode. The steps are in our cancel a Zoho Books subscription article.
Downgrading: what Zoho does not say
That page is silent on workflow rules, webhooks, custom functions and connections after a move to a lower plan, and we found no Zoho page that covers it. The one documented consequence: delete the workflow rule behind a Zoho Books Zapier action and the Zap fails (Zapier help page, 12 October 2026). List the Premium items you use, then ask Zoho support what happens to each.
๐งพ Not Tested: No editor has opened a Zoho Books organization for this page. Connections, webhooks, API calls, bank feeds and the Claude connector were not observed.
