1.Agreement to these terms

These terms govern your use of thesoftwarescribe.com. By visiting the site, reading an article, leaving a comment or sending us a message, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please stop using the site.

2.Who we are

The Software Scribe is published by KCS Groups, trading as KCS Global Group, a GST-registered company in India.

In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean KCS Global Group as publisher of this site. “You” means anyone using it.

3.Who may use this site

You must be at least 16 years old to use this site or to submit anything to us. If you are using the site on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to accept these terms for that company.

4.What this site is, and is not

The Software Scribe publishes independent reviews, pricing breakdowns and comparisons of business software. Everything here is general editorial information.

It is not professional advice. Nothing on this site is financial, accounting, tax, legal or investment advice, and it is not a recommendation that any particular product suits your circumstances. Before choosing software that will hold your business records, take advice from a qualified professional who knows your situation. This is set out further in our disclaimer.

5.Accuracy of our content

We test the products we write about and record what we find, following our published testing methodology. Even so, software pricing, plan limits and features change constantly, and vendors change them without notice. Prices also vary by country and currency.

Treat anything you read here as accurate on the date shown on the article, and verify current pricing and terms on the vendor’s own website before you buy. If you find an error, tell us at contact@thesoftwarescribe.com and we will check it and correct the page.

6.Our intellectual property

All content on this site, including articles, review scores, comparison tables, original graphics, screenshots we produce, the site design and the name The Software Scribe, is owned by KCS Global Group or licensed to us, and is protected by copyright and other laws.

7.What you may and may not do

You may read the site, print or save pages for your own use, and share links to our articles freely.

You may quote a short extract, up to roughly 100 words, in your own article or post, provided you attribute it to The Software Scribe and include a working, followable link to the page you took it from.

You may not:

• Republish our articles in whole or in substantial part, on any platform, in any language
• Sell, licence or redistribute our content
• Present our work as your own, or remove author credits
• Reproduce our comparison tables, scoring data or research findings as a dataset
• Copy the site’s design or structure to create a similar publication
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its server or its database
• Interfere with the site’s operation, security or availability
• Use the site for anything unlawful

8.Automated access and AI training

Automated access to this site is permitted only for search engine crawlers that respect our robots.txt file and index our pages for search results.

We expressly reserve all rights in our content for the purposes of text and data mining. You may not scrape, harvest or bulk-download this site, and you may not use its content to train, fine-tune, evaluate or ground any machine learning model, large language model or generative AI system, whether commercial or research, without our written permission. This reservation applies to anyone, including operators of AI systems that ignore robots directives.

9.Third-party trademarks

Product names, logos and brands mentioned on this site belong to their respective owners. We use them for identification and commentary only, which is fair use in the context of independent review.

Use of a vendor’s name does not imply that the vendor endorses us, sponsors us, or is affiliated with us in any way. We are not authorised representatives, resellers or support agents for any product we cover. For help with a product you have bought, contact that vendor directly.

10.Comments and submissions

Where comments are open, you are responsible for what you post. Do not post anything unlawful, defamatory, abusive, misleading, or in breach of someone else’s rights, and do not post promotional material or links for the purpose of advertising.

By posting a comment you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display, store and moderate it on this site. You keep ownership of what you wrote. We may edit, refuse or remove any comment at our discretion, and we are not obliged to explain why.

If you send us unsolicited suggestions, product ideas or feedback, we may use them without obligation, payment or acknowledgement to you.

11.Advertising and affiliate links

This site carries display advertising and affiliate links. When you click certain links and sign up for a product, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

Commission arrangements do not determine our verdicts or rankings, and no vendor is given a review before publication. The detail is in our affiliate disclosure, and our editorial safeguards are in our editorial policy.

Any transaction you enter into with a vendor is between you and that vendor. We are not a party to it and take no responsibility for it.

12.Links to other websites

We link to vendor sites, documentation and other publications. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability or practices. A link is not an endorsement.

13.Availability of the site

We aim to keep the site available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend, withdraw or restrict all or part of the site for maintenance or other reasons, without notice and without liability to you.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or for any loss of profit, revenue, business, data, goodwill or anticipated savings, arising from your use of this site or your reliance on anything published here.

This includes losses arising from a software purchase you made after reading our content, from data migration between products, or from downtime or defects in any third-party product we have written about.

Where liability cannot be excluded by law, our total liability to you for all claims is limited to one thousand Indian rupees (INR 1,000).

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

16.Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against any claim, loss, damage or reasonable legal cost arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the site, or content you submit to it.

17.Privacy

How we handle personal data is set out in our privacy policy, and cookies are covered in our cookie policy. Both form part of your agreement with us.

18.Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms. The date at the top of the page shows the current version. Changes take effect when published, and continuing to use the site means you accept them. Check this page occasionally.

19.Governing law

These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Durg, Chhattisgarh, India have exclusive jurisdiction, except that consumers resident elsewhere keep any rights to bring proceedings in their own country where local law gives them that right.

20.General

If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remain in force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These terms, together with our privacy policy, cookie policy and disclaimer, are the entire agreement between us regarding the site.
