What the Xero price increase changes on your next bill

Xero price increase showing US Early, Growing, and Established plan prices rising on October 1 2026

Xero’s US prices rise on 1 October 2026: Early $25 to $27, Growing $55 to $59, Established $90 to $97 โ€” increases of 8.0%, 7.3% and 7.8%, verified against Xero’s pricing update notice on 2 September 2026. The change applies to existing subscribers, not just new ones. Buying before 1 October does not hold you at the old rate.

Start here if you’re not sure this applies to you

Four arrival states, and only one is a US subscriber on a US plan.

If you already subscribe

You are included. Xero‘s update notice, retrieved 2 September 2026, covers new and existing US subscribers, so staying put holds nothing.

If you’re outside the US

Different plans, currency and date. The UK increase has already landed, and every new UK figure is here.

If your accountant bills you for Xero

Ask how it reaches your invoice. We can record what Xero published, not how a practice passes it on.

Where these figures come from

The new column comes from Xero’s US pricing update notice, retrieved 2 September 2026. The current column matched Xero’s US pricing page the same day. The rise column is ours โ€” Xero publishes the dollar change and no percentage, and every figure excludes optional add-ons.

Whether existing subscribers are protected

They are not. The notice applies the change to new and existing US subscribers, on invoices from 1 October 2026 onwards.

Buying now does not lock in the old price

Buying a Xero subscription before October 1 does not lock the subscriber into the previous list price.

No. Xero’s update notice, retrieved 2 September 2026, applies the new prices to new and existing US subscribers and carries no grandfathering clause.

The deadline you’re seeing is a discount deadline

Xero is running 90% off the first six months for new US customers under promo code DC90626308US, ending 30 September 2026 at 11:59pm UTC, per the offer terms on Xero’s US pricing page retrieved 2 September 2026. One day before the increase โ€” which is why the two get read as one.

What happens to a discount you already hold

It survives, and applies to the new pricing until it expires rather than holding the old.

๐Ÿ” Why It Works This Way: A discount rides on the list price, so when the price moves the discount moves with it. Xero’s US FAQ, retrieved 2 September 2026, adds that Xero bills monthly only โ€” no annual prepayment exists.

The multi-organization discount is going too

Two things change on 1 October 2026. The table above has one.

Xero’s multi-organization discount begins phasing out from October 1, 2026.

What Xero has said

The multi-organization discount begins phasing out from 1 October 2026, per the update notice retrieved 2 September 2026. Xero’s US FAQ, retrieved the same day, describes it as applied automatically where organizations share a subscriber email address.

What Xero doesn’t publish

Its size. Neither page states a percentage anywhere we retrieved on 2 September 2026, so we cannot size your increase, and third-party figures citing no first-party source are not worth repeating. Compare your September invoice against your October one; that difference is the only accurate number until Xero publishes something.

โš ๏ธ This Costs You: More than one organization means absorbing two changes at once โ€” the plan rise and the withdrawn discount โ€” on each one you hold.

What the increase adds over a year, and what it leaves alone

Twelve months of the monthly change above comes to $24 a year on Early, $48 on Growing and $84 on Established, before sales tax โ€” our arithmetic on Xero’s figures verified 2 September 2026.

What the increase does not apply to

The notice excludes optional add-ons. Xero Payroll, powered by Gusto, is listed at $36 a month plus $6 per person on Xero’s US pricing page, retrieved 2 September 2026, and is not part of this change.

๐Ÿ’ต Verified: Payment and bill-pay fees are additional and not eligible for subscription discounts โ€” Xero’s US pricing page footnotes, retrieved 2 September 2026.

Before you consider a cheaper plan

Plan caps decide which tier you can use, not price. What Early’s limits and your W-9 and 1099 obligations require belongs with the pricing guide and your accountant.

What to check on your next invoice

Three checks, in order.

Confirm which plan you’re on

Xero’s update notice, retrieved 2 September 2026, points you to the Subscription area of your account and its Subscription column. Do that before acting on any figure here.

When the change reaches your bill

On invoices from 1 October 2026 onwards, per the same notice. Your first affected invoice is the first dated on or after that date.

Before you switch plans

Xero’s US FAQ, retrieved 2 September 2026, states you can upgrade any time but downgrade only after 30 days on a plan. Its pricing page states subscriptions auto-renew monthly until cancelled.

โœ… Do This: Set your September and October invoices side by side. For multi-organization accounts that is the only way to see your real increase.

๐Ÿงพ Not Tested: We hold no US Xero subscription and have seen no invoice or billing screen. Everything above comes from three public Xero pages retrieved 2 September 2026.
