Invoice Simple vs Invoice2go on How Many Invoices You Can Send

Table of Contents
On Invoice Simple’s pricing page and Invoice2go’s pricing page, checked 7 October 2026, Invoice Simple’s cheapest plan caps invoices at 3 a month โ 36 across twelve months by our arithmetic โ while Invoice2go’s Starter lists 30 a year, with no monthly-billing figure we could confirm. The units differ, so the plans can’t be compared at face value. Count your busiest month first, then your yearly total.
Invoice Simple and Invoice2go plans, compared by cap
Both apps sell three paid plans, and the invoice cap is what separates them.
The three plans on each side
Invoice Simple sells Essentials, Plus and Premium. Invoice2go sells Starter, Professional and Premium, per each vendor’s pricing page, checked 7 October 2026. The vendors count invoices in different units; the cap table puts them on one scale.
Which part of this page you need
- Choosing between the apps: read the cap table, then the cost section.
- Weighing a move off Invoice Simple: read the last section.
- Card fees and refunds: see Invoice Simple worth it once you count the real cost.
How each plan’s invoice cap works
Both caps limit invoices, but the unit, the reset and the documentation differ.

Invoice Simple: a monthly cap tied to your billing month
Invoice Simple allows up to 3, 10 or unlimited invoices a month on Essentials, Plus and Premium (7 October 2026). Its Essentials and Plus help articles, dated 14 January 2025, start the count at your billing month. See what counts toward the Invoice Simple invoice limit for what uses a slot.
Invoice2go: a yearly allowance
Invoice2go lists 30, 100 and unlimited invoices a year on Starter, Professional and Premium (pricing page, 7 October 2026). Its FAQ gives a renewal date, not a date when the allowance resets, and we could not confirm any monthly-billing cap.
What neither cap counts: estimates
Both vendors list estimates as unlimited (7 October 2026): see Invoice Simple’s Essentials plan page and Invoice2go’s compare table. Invoice Simple’s older help articles count estimates with invoices, so its pages disagree; we follow the newer page.
Busiest month versus yearly total: the cap table
Invoice Simple’s cheapest plan lists 3 invoices a month and Invoice2go’s lists 30 a year (7 October 2026); the table converts each to a busiest-month and a 12-month figure.

The cap table, side by side
| Plan | Cap as published | Most in one month | 12-month total | Who hits this |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Invoice Simple Essentials | 3 a month (7 Oct 2026) | 3 (7 Oct 2026) | 36, our arithmetic (7 Oct 2026) | Weekly billers |
| Invoice Simple Plus | 10 a month (7 Oct 2026) | 10 (7 Oct 2026) | 120, our arithmetic (7 Oct 2026) | Above 10 in a month |
| Invoice2go Starter | 30 a year (7 Oct 2026) | Not stated (7 Oct 2026) | 30 (7 Oct 2026) | Above 30 a year |
| Invoice2go Professional | 100 a year (7 Oct 2026) | Not stated (7 Oct 2026) | 100 (7 Oct 2026) | Above 100 a year |
| Either vendor’s Premium | Unlimited (7 Oct 2026) | No cap | No cap | Nobody |
A seasonal example: a busy month for each plan
Take twelve invoices in one month. Essentials and Plus both stop short of twelve on their published monthly caps; Premium does not (7 October 2026). Invoice2go’s yearly figures would cover twelve on their face, but whether one month can draw that much is unconfirmed.
What each plan costs at its cap
Only Invoice Simple’s prices could be confirmed from its own page on 7 October 2026.
Invoice Simple: plan prices at each cap
๐ต Verified: Essentials $6.99, Plus $14.99 and Premium $21.99 a month; $69.99, $149.99 and $219.99 a year, in USD โ Invoice Simple’s pricing page, retrieved 7 October 2026.
Per-invoice cost at each cap is in what each Invoice Simple plan costs per invoice you send.
๐๏ธ Pricing verified 7 October 2026. Software pricing changes frequently โ confirm on the vendor’s site before purchasing.
Invoice2go: the price conflict
Invoice2go’s pricing page, retrieved 7 October 2026, showed no per-plan dollar amounts in its text; its meta description says plans start at $5.99 a month. Invoice Simple’s comparison page, updated 9 September 2026, states higher Invoice2go prices, but a competitor wrote it, so it is a claim. Listings seen in search results differ from it. We state no Invoice2go price.
Price your own invoice volume
Without an Invoice2go price, compare cap for cap: your busiest month and yearly total against the table above. This section changes when a first-party price can be captured.
Which cap fits how you send invoices
Match your own invoicing pattern to the cap structure in the table above.
Steady monthly senders
If your busiest month sits under a plan’s monthly cap, that plan covers it. Invoice2go’s yearly figures work the same way if your yearly total fits.
Seasonal or bursty senders
Check your busiest month against the monthly caps first. A yearly figure may suit you better, but Invoice2go has not confirmed how its allowance resets.
โ Do This: Before paying for a yearly allowance, ask Invoice2go in writing how it resets and whether one month can use it all. Keep the reply.
Low-volume senders who want the extras
Invoice2go lists time tracking, scheduling, expenses and a bank account on all three plans (7 October 2026). Invoice Simple lists an expense tracker on all of its plans.
What it costs to switch when you hit a cap
Each vendor documents a different amount about what happens at the limit.
What happens when you reach a cap
Invoice2go says you can upgrade at any time to get more invoices (pricing page FAQ, 7 October 2026). Invoice Simple’s pages don’t document what its app does at the limit; see the counting rules. Its 18 April 2025 help article says it is merging unlimited-invoicing accounts into the current plans.
Moving your records between the two
๐ Back This Up First: Export records from the app you are leaving before its subscription lapses. Invoice2go limits a deactivated account to viewing lists, with export still possible from its web platform (7 October 2026).
Invoice2go documents QuickBooks as its only import source (7 October 2026). The step-by-step move is in Invoice Simple to Invoice2go: no import, full rebuild.
๐งพ Not Tested: We hold no paid account with either vendor. Caps were read from public pages on 7 October 2026. Invoice2go’s price, monthly-billing view and allowance reset are unverified.
